Foodie Review: Bar 1919

Hi there everyone! Today I’m going to talk about one of my favorite bars in San Antonio, Bar 1919. From the theme to the drinks to the staff, this place ranks well above any bar’s I’ve ever been to. Bar 1919 is a speakeasy style bar, based back during the prohibition period when alcohol was illegal. This bar is hidden beneath Joe Blue’s at the Blue Star Arts Complex. Just look for the red lights and you’ll know where the entrance is. The cocktails here are handcrafted with experience and care, and the bartenders definitely know what they are doing. I’ve brought many first timers here who were blown away from how different Bar 1919 was compared to other bars they frequented. If you don’t know what you would like, just tell them your palate and preference, and they will recommend a drink or make on on the spot that will suit your taste. If you want to experience a classic bar with smooth jazz, well crafted cocktails from experience bartenders who love what their doing, come visit this place. I frequent this place afterwork to relax with a nice book and a good drink and have never been disappointed.
